This chapter examines the deeply rooted reasons why the adoption of the validation of professional experience process undergoes such variations among European countries. It tends to highlight how the subconscious underlying framework used by examiners drives their mind and conclusions without them being aware of it. European countries are more or less in favour of taking into consideration someone’s on-field experience according to the valorization and the attachment to education and knowledge learned from books rather than by hands and workforce.
